Ayla Mae

She's finally here! We welcomed Ayla Mae Bluemel into the world on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 4:20 pm. She weighed 7 lbs, 9 oz, and was 20 inches long. Everything went perfect. Her delivery compared to Lara's was such a breeze. I only had to push for 10 minutes, and have been pain free ever since! She looks exactly like Lara, just a bit smaller, and has been a very good baby so far. She's finally starting to be more awake during the day, and less at night now. :)

Just Waiting...

Not much new is going on here. I'm just waiting to have this baby. I'm due in 16 days, but hoping she comes quicker. I will really be mad if she is late! It's starting to get very uncomfortable. Here is a picture of me from today, at 37 weeks, 5 days...

I'm hoping to have her a few days before Easter, so we can all be home and not have to worry about going into labor. I will be mad if I miss my ham! We are having Mike's family and my family for Easter this year since I'm due 4 days later and shouldn't be traveling. That should be fun.

My mom and I took Lara to get her first haircut the week before last. The idea scared her at first because she thought it would hurt, and that it meant she would look like a boy, but then she finally realized it would be okay. She didn't look too excited while she was getting it cut, but she was watching Dora, and was very excited about her new haircut afterwards. : )

Her hair is still pretty long, she took about 3 inches off. It looks a lot nicer now. I think I'll take her in another month or 2 to get it cut even shorter.

Ayla's room is almost complete. The last few pieces for her nursery were shipped today, so I will post pictures when it is all done.

Mike should be home from Texas tomorrow. His truck broke down tonight, so he and his sister had to get towed, and are staying in a hotel in Albert Lea, then have to wait for the truck to get fixed tomorrow. It will be nice to have him back! That's about it for now. I hope I'll be updating soon with baby news!
