It's been a while!

Wow, I haven't blogged in a really long time, but there really hasn't been much to write about. I got laid off in December, right before Christmas. I was expecting it, so it wasn't a big deal. I'm mostly enjoying it, but I do get very bored. Lara keeps me plenty busy though. Mike is still working out of town. He was home for a little bit in December, then had to leave Christmas day, so that sucked, but he was home for 4 weeks in January. I didn't see him a whole lot though since he was ice fishing most of the time. I hope he got that out of his system. Now he is working in Texas in the nice warm weather, and will probably be there up until the baby is born.

My brother and I have taken Lara bowling a couple times. She gets excited to go, but loses interest pretty fast. It is cute though.

We've also gone up to Siren a few times. We had a fishing contest last week, and will go up for another one next weekend. I had to weigh fish at the last one and didn't get to fish, so hopefully I will catch something at the next one.

I also got the baby's room painted, and it is just about ready to go. Mike set up the crib for me before he left. Now I am just waiting for the last few things to go with the bedding, and it will be ready. I will post pictures when it's all done.

The only other kind of exciting thing that I have done is go down to Chicago to see Oprah again. I went with my aunt, her mom, and a girl from her work. We had really crappy weather going down and coming back, but we made it. We got stuck on a really boring show though, and had to sit through 2 tapings of it. The first one aired last week, and the second will air sometime in March. I'm not even interested in watching it. We also had to go to a movie about the whole show the night before, so we knew ahead of time it was going to be boring. Hopefully we'll get to go again next year and get on a better show.

The pregnancy is still going great. I only have 6 weeks to go. Time is flying! Then my life will be chaotic. : )
