FIRST BLOG

Hello everybody! My friend Jen talked me into starting a blog, so here we go. I guess I will start with this past weekend. Mike and I (and Lara, of course) started off Saturday morning bright and early by meeting Mike's parents, grandma, and an aunt, uncle, and cousin in Hudson for breakfast while they were passing through on their way to MN for a vacation. His mom's family is from Illinois and we don't get to see them much, so that was nice. Next we went back home, and I went solo to Eau Claire to have some Amanda time. First I had a hair appointment with my friend Jenny. That was relaxing, and from there we went to the tattoo shop for some piercing and tattooing. Jenny ended up having to make an appointment for her tattoo because the artist needed to do some redisigning. So I pierced the rook of my ear, and Jenny liked it a lot, so she also got that done. We went to TGI Fridays from there for apps.

After that I headed over to my best friend Beki's mom's house to meet up for her sister Heather's college grad party. We all piled into Ashton's Jeep and headed down to the Mouse Trap for some celebrating. I had every intention of staying for only 2-3 hours then going home to rescue Mike from Lara, but it didn't quite happen that way. I started drinking soon after we got there, and it turned out to be a pretty long night of drinking and having fun..

Here are some photos of Beki and I having a good time...

And here is the photo that killed the batteries.....
A few of us ended up going down to Sammy's pizza and ordering a pizza to eat at Clancy's nextdoor, where we did some more drinking, then started walking down to Water St, and ended up finding a cab halfway there to take us the rest of the way. We went to a couple bars for just a few minutes before taking another cab back to the Trap, met up with our group, and took another cab over to Topper's to pick up some more pizza and cheese sticks, then back to Beki's. I crashed on the couch and got up super early and headed home. The rest of my day was pretty lazy, but amazingly there was no hangover for me!
